At Port KC, Meredith is a dynamic and adaptable employee handling various tasks. As Director of Communications, she oversees all aspects of both external and internal communications, including managing company and project websites and social media platforms. Meredith serves as the lead media contact, generates communication deliverables, and manages local and national media pitches, to maintain adequate public and media relations. She is also responsible for creating strategic and communications plans, developing community outreach strategies, and coordinating with sponsorships, partnerships, charities, and events to continue the development and success of Port KC.
Meredith brings 20 years of experience in broadcasting to her role, having previously worked as an anchor, producer, reporter, and media consultant for various companies and news agencies. In addition to extensive experience, she is an Emmy-winning TV Host and Emmy-nominated journalist. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a Journalism degree in broadcasting.
