Advisory Committees

Port KC has advisory committees that meet on an as-needed basis.

The advisory committee members include Port KC Commissioners, Port KC Staff, local community representatives, elected officials and stakeholder groups. The advisory committees participate in the development of ideas, criteria and evaluation standards, in order to provide community perspective, information and feedback on particular projects.

Riverfront Development Advisory Committee

Redeveloping Kansas City’s Downtown Riverfront into a vibrant mixed-use area is one of  Port KC’s top strategic priorities. As part of the redevelopment process, Port KC plans to empanel an advisory committee comprised of key stakeholders to help guide and inform the process.

Diversified Contractors Growth Fund

Diversified Contractors Growth Fund has been developed by Port KC in partnership with AltCap to financially assist certified minority and women-owned contractors to bid for projects in Kansas City, MO.

Port KC has selected key members of their Finance and Development Committees to participate in the DCGF Loan Advisory Committee for the purpose of reviewing Loan applications
