Port KC Congratulates Board Chair George Wolf on his appointment to Circuit Judge

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Port KC congratulates Board Chairman George Wolf on his appointment as Circuit Court Judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit for Jackson County. In making this appointment Governor Eric Greitens cited Wolf’s 30 years of litigation experience as a partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon.

Wolf has served on Port KC’s Board of Commissioners for ten years. During the past four years, when Wolf served as board chair, Port KC’s impact has expanded tremendously throughout Kansas City. Under Wolf’s leadership the Port of Kansas City – Woodswether Terminal reopened, construction began on the mixed use development Union | Berkley Riverfront Park, and Berkley Riverfront added additional amenities and events, making it a premier destination in the city. Additionally, the board has approved several development finance projects including Northland Park, Sioux Chief, CVS and Corrigan Station, adding thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in capital investment.

Commissioner Wolf will be stepping down as Chair of the Board of Commissioners. Dana Gibson, managing partner of Mallin/Gibson Properties, is anticipated to be moving to the position of board chair.
