Aladdin hotel

Molzer Development is proud to lead the redevelopment of the historic Aladdin Hotel into a vibrant multifamily community in the heart of downtown Kansas City. Once a 193-room hotel, the building will be transformed into 120 thoughtfully designed, affordable apartments. Residents will enjoy beautiful amenity spaces, including an upscale craft cocktail bar on the 16th floor with breathtaking views of the Kansas City skyline. The project is dedicated to preserving the Aladdin’s rich history while integrating modern touches that elevate the living experience.

Built in 1925, the Aladdin Hotel holds a special place in the city’s architectural heritage. The 16-story structure, once a symbol of innovation in the lodging market, is set to offer both historical charm and contemporary elegance. This redevelopment will feature 100% affordable housing units in alignment with the KCMO Affordability Ordinance, with 20% of the units deed-restricted for residents at 80% AMI. To help finance the project, Port KC will issue bonds up to $39,000,000. The redevelopment is expected to be completed before the World Cup arrives in Kansas City next summer, adding new life to a landmark location connected to the Kansas City Convention Center via an underground walkway.
