Andrews Road Speculative Project
2016
In 2016, Port KC partnered with CenterPoint Properties to build approximately 450,660 of speculative space. The facility is located on 38 acres in the transportation and logistics park. This project supports our mission to bring jobs to Kansas City in the manufacturing, warehousing, and light industrial sectors. It is located within 49 Crossing, an area with a strong existing workforce and a need for more quality jobs.
Port KC issued $30 million of privately backed conduit bonds to support construction. These conduit bonds allow us to provide specific property and sales tax exemptions on projects that have demonstrated need and will generate economic growth.
MDH Partners now own the building. A4 Apparel and Honeywell currently fulfill operations here.
