Port KC along with KCADC, State of Missouri, The Missouri Partnership, Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Platte County Economic Development Council, KCP&L, Cushman & Wakefield, NorthPoint Development, Metropolitan Community College, Focus Workforces, IMKO Workforce Solutions, QPS Employment Group, Full Employment Council, Missouri Division of Workforce Development, UPS, Scarbrough International, Ltd., and KC SmartPort executed this team effort to bring a Fortune 10 company to Kansas City. This 762,000 square foot distribution center supports more than 300 distribution and logistics jobs and 500 CVS pharmacy stores in the Midwest and is one of 19 active distribution centers supporting CVS Pharmacy retail stores in the U.S.  

Port KC issued $123 million of privately backed conduit bonds. By issuing bonds, Port KC assists projects that have exhibited financial need and will bring economic activity. Over the next 20 years, this project expects an economic impact of $295 million in direct salaries and $190 million in salaries paid to indirect and induced jobs.
