KC Current Riverfront Stadium

In October 2021, Port KC and the KC Current announced the construction of an 11,500 seat stadium purpose-built for the National Women’s Soccer League team the KC Current. The stadium anchors Berkley Riverfront development on the east near the Kit Bond Bridge. The stadium covers seven acres, sold out in its first home KC Current season in 2024 and will be home to even more events. The estimated $140 million project will be entirely financed through the ownership group. This stadium is the first of its kind in the world.
