Port KC is working with Masters Transportation, Inc. in the development of their new corporate headquarters and operations facility. Located at the northeast corner of Highway 150 and Prospect Avenue, the facility will span approximately 310,000 square feet and is designed to serve as a world-class center for electric vehicle infrastructure, storage, leasing, and sales.
Announced in 2023 and scheduled to open in 2025, the project represents a total investment of approximately $50 million and $26.5M in new equipment and personal property. Over the next 20 years, Masters Transportation is expected to invest an additional $3 billion in personal property and rolling stock.
Port KC provided tax-exempt conduit financing, helping to make the development more feasible and economically impactful. The new headquarters is estimated to provide 355 new jobs within the first six years, with an average wage of $64,200. Additionally, the project will retain 61 existing jobs, with an average wage of $84,400.
