We became involved in this project, located along the Paseo between 9th and 10th streets, to help address the affordable housing shortage in Kansas City. Capital Realty Group invested $32 million in Port KC bonds to renovate and update amenities for 204 existing apartment units originally built in 1973. All Port KC bonds are privately backed. The project also received Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), long-term HUD financing, and has a 30-year land use restriction agreement with the Missouri Housing Development Commission to provide income-restricted affordable housing.
