Two Birds, One Stone

Two Birds, One Stone is a waterfront beer garden that will offer more outdoor food and entertainment options to riverfront residents and Kansas City visitors. This Berkley Park amenity will be managed by future Origin Hotel Staff. The lower portion of the building will feature the beer garden, offering food and beverages, while the upstairs space is designated for private events. Two Birds, One Stone will also include public restrooms for parkgoers.  

The beer garden is a nearly 8,200-square-foot, two-story structure on half an acre. Directly across from the beer garden is the future Origin Hotel, both developed by The Thrash Group. Port KC partnered once again with The Thrash Group to oversee the development and operations of the beer garden.  

Local design firm KEM Studio designed the building to blend in with the park’s current surroundings. The beer garden is built with simple and refined materials, immersing the visitor in the neighboring park’s atmosphere.
